About Us

Welcome to Spurred to Victory ministry! We are grateful to have you checking out the website. We would like to tell you a little about how Spurred to Victory came about.

We are the Wyant family: Charlie, Renae, Bailey and Tucker. We have spent most of our lives in the equine industry. Charlie has been an equine dentist for over 22 years and I have been a professional trainer for 2o years. Bailey barrel raced at a national level and Tucker has spent his fair share of time in the saddle too. We spent most of our time traveling to barrel races whether they were futurities, open barrel races or youth events.

In 2010 we attended a Sermon on  the Mount presentation with Dr. Lew Sterrett. We were forever changed by seeing the relationship of the trainer and horse as an analogy to God and man. The message truly went straight to our hearts as we witnessed the changes in the horse as it discovered truth. We were watching the Gospel  come to life right before our eyes. We didn't realize it at the time but God planted a seed in us that day through that demonstration. We then hosted several Sermon on the Mount presentations here at our farm over the next several years because we wanted our community to have the chance to be impacted the way we were. All the while God was giving us a different vision than what we were living.  Proverbs 29:18 says, "Where there is no vision: the people perish: but he that keepeth the law, happy is he." When we start training a horse we have a vision in mind for that horse.  We don't see the horse as he is, we see the horse as it could be.

As we began submitting to the pruning in our lives, the vision became more clear. We watched in amazement as God prepared each and everyone of us for the changes that were taking place.

In 2017 we saw clearly that the vision of using horses for ministry meant starting Spurred to Victory; it meant Charlie seeking a bachelors degree in biblical theology; it meant using horses to expand God's kingdom. In a nutshell, it meant putting feet to our faith.  James 1:22 tells us, "Don't just listen to God's word. You must do what it says. Otherwise, you are only fooling yourselves."

In 202o Bailey graduated high school and started at Regent University seeking a bachelors in business. Then in 2021 Charlie graduated from Regent University with a bachelors in Biblical and Theological Studies. That now brings us to 2022 or May 28, 2022 to be exact when we had a new addition to our family. Bailey married a young man by the name of Jeremy Troup. Jeremy graduated from Penn State with an associates degree in Physical Therapy. He currently works as a PTA. He is an avid runner with extensive accomplishments. The day he proposed to Bailey he won his first marathon. He has run three 50 mile ultra marathons. He has been a wonderful addition to the family and we are excited to see God work through this young couple in ministry. In 2023 we welcomed our first grandchild Desmond Logan Troup. What a wonderful thing it is to be grandparents.

We are surrounded by people who support, encourage, love, and challenge us. We are so grateful for that. We feel this vision is truly just beginning and we are excited to see God work through this ministry and the Kingdom of God spread throughout the world.
